Susan was born on November 03, 1957 in South Bend Indiana. She was the daughter of John and Jan Schutz. After high school, she graduated from Purdue University with a teaching degree. Her greatest blessing in life was the birth of her two children; Matthew and Lauren. Susan loved spending time with her children and watching them grow into wonderful adults.

In 1996, after playing tennis for years, Susan joined the Your Serve Tennis staff. She was instrumental in the growth and success of Your Serve as a buyer and merchandiser of apparel and the training and mentoring of new employees. It was also through this company that she met her husband Dale. They enjoyed traveling together, spending time with their families as well as each other and their four cats. They were married on November 18, 2016 in Maui, Hawaii. The wedding was a beautiful beachside ceremony at sunset where they were surrounded by all their children.

In Susan's lifetime, she had 4 bouts with cancer. She fought hard to beat each one of them. She was an inspiration to all with her courage and humor through the hardest of times. She brought much joy to friends she met during treatments and all the doctors and nurses that she met along the way. On Monday, May 9th, Susan passed away from ovarian cancer. Her family would like to honor her life by raising money and awareness to help fight ovarian cancer.
