Kiwanis and Big Brothers Big Sisters
"Serving the children of the world" is our Kiwanis motto. "Improving the world one child and one community at a time" is our mission. On the local level, supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Southern Adirondacks (BBBSSADK) is a perfect way for members to fulfill that motto and mission. For 51 years, BBBSSADK has provided area children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported mentoring relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. Glens Falls Kiwanis - Our Team
Our bowling team is comprised mainly of club members, friends and family who are terrible bowlers. We do recruit a few ringers from time to time, but gutter balls usually outnumber strikes and spares. Scores are not important at all. No one cares about bowling proficiency. It's all about having fun, enjoying some food and libations, particpating in raffles and other festivities - and raising funds. Over the past 16 years, our Kiwanis teams have raised over $96,000 for BBBSSADK. Members, friends and family can help by bowling and fundraising, supporting our bowlers with donations, cheering on our team or becoming event sponsors.
