The “Zeta Phi” Chapter of Kappa Alpha Order at High Point University is raising money to benefit a veteran in need. We are working with Operation K.A.R.E to provide a tack chair for a veteran. Operation K.A.R.E was started in 2016 and we have been able to raise over $100,000 in the last 4 years.
Operation K.A.R.E. stands for Knowledge, Awareness, Results, and Empower. Operation K.A.R.E. provides mobility solutions to the men and women who have been injured fighting for our country's freedom. By partnering with the organization, we will be raising money to provide Track Chairs, which handle terrain far better than normal wheelchairs, to our country’s heroes so that they can enjoy the outdoors with their families and friends. Our goal for the semester is to raise $20,000. This is a vocation that our chapter feels strongly about and we look forward to giving back to the deserving veterans of this great country.
