YOU CAN HELP BUILD POWER IN IMMIGRANT AND REFUGEEE COMMUNITIES

ALL DONATIONS RECEIVED BY MIDNIGHT ON MAY 8TH WILL BE DOUBLED WITH A MATCHING GIFT!

When Trump was elected president, we cried like many others. For us, the language he hurled against immigrants during his campaign and now during his presidency wasn't just politics, it was personal. JoJo's great-grandparents and Jessica's dad both came from Mexico. We have friends and colleagues who are direct recipients of the DACA program. And the rhetoric that "Mexico is sending us its worst," that America is being overrun with drug dealers and murders, isn't the reality we seen in our daily lives, including in our families.

The reason why we love OneAmerica is because they believe that those farthest from power actually have the best solutions, which is why they are focused on building power in immigrant and refugee communities so they can lead. OneAmerica doesn't just talk the talk about "empowering" communities. Last year, a council of leaders from immigrant and refugee communities was formed to guide and decide the work that will ultimately set OneAmerica's priorities.

For those who know Jessica well, community-led nonprofit work has been a foundational narrative of her career since her undergraduate days; so much so, that she is a bit picky about who she works for (and who she asks her friends to financially support!). We hope you will join us in supporting an organization that means so much to us.

You can help build power in immigrant and refugee communities with a gift today. Thanks to a generous donor all gifts recieved will be doubled with a match! That means your gift of $10 will automatically become $20.
