On Sunday September 17, I'll once again be participating in the ONE BK Unite Walk to raise money for Brooklyn Community Services.
As a born-and-bred Brooklynite, the desire to make Brooklyn a more perfect borough is very personal. For 150 years, BCS has been providing a wide range of social services to individuals and families throughout our mighty borough, from education to workforce development to mental health and wellness programs. 23% of Brooklynites live in poverty; the ONE BK campaign is an effort to change that math. If you're willing to help them, please make a (totally tax-deductible!) donation.
And if you are free on Sunday, September 17 and want to join me for a stroll around Prospect Park, please give a holler! Fingers crossed for sunshine.
