Stopping youth violence is personal for me. I was attacked by a youth several years ago, when my purse was grabbed in front of CVS on Old Cutler Road.  I chased him, and got his auto tag #. An APB went out, and he was caught, identified by me, and served a year in jail. My purse was returned that night. Another time I was attacked in Tampa, walking back from a shopping center convention gathering.  That time I was not so lucky, because my shoulder handbag was cut off, and the thief ran away with my purse and its contents.

Had these individuals  been exposed to the many healing and transformative programs of Youth for Christ, i.e. Campus Life, Juvenile Justice, Catalyst -  they might not have committed a crime.

Please join me in my support of Over The Edge, a first-class event that provides adventurers with a chance to rappel down the 10-story Keyes Office Building, located at 2121 SW 3rd Avenue,  on March 14th, all in an effort to raise much-needed program funds to Help Stop Youth Violence!
