This past fall Miami YFC took a chance on a grace-scrubbed sinner with a heart for unchurched youth and offered me an internship position with Kenwood K-8 Campus Life. The past few months have been such an amazing testament of God’s faithfulness. Giving us so many opportunities to share stories about Jesus, the Bible and advice about faith and challenges that come with it. I’ve also been able to contribute a female adult presence and start to build deep relationship with our girls. Working with middle school students was a new challenge for me but each week I’m able to see a fire igniting in their hearts and at the same time their silly, creative brains burst from adundace when it’s time to play a game. Very fortunately, I am also an intern with the youth ministry at Granada Church. This overlap allows me to invite the students to events like our regular Wednesday youth group to explore the gospel deeper or Outreach events to meet friends and have fellowship time at a church. Your donation will not only sponsor our trip over the edge but my salary as intern so that I can continue to devote my time to all that goes into the mentorship of these students. Thank you so much.
