Parking and Transportation

Event Site is located at 6076 Woodley Ave, Encino, CA 91436.

Participants see parking instructions below and please obey all traffic laws. From the West side of Woodley Ave and Dirt Lot, please use the tunnel (volunteers will be present to direct you) or crosswalk.

Directions:

  • 405 North Bound:
    • Take exit 64 for Burbank Blvd
    • Use the left 2 lanes to turn left onto Burbank Blvd
    • Turn right onto Woodley Ave
    • Event site will be on the east side of Woodley Ave. (just south of Victory Blvd.) Parking is available on the street and in the dirt general lot. Follow “Event Parking” signs.
  • 405 South Bound:
    • Take exit towards Victory AVE
    • Turn left onto Haskell AVE towards Victory BLVD
    • Turn right on Victory BLVD
    • In 0.5 Miles, turn left onto Woodley AVE
    • Event site will be on the left.
  • Metro Info:
    • Woodley Park is walking distance from the Woodley Station stop on the Metro G Orange Line.

Dirt Lot (General Parking): Follow directions above. Follow “EVENT PARKING” signs to turn right off of Woodley ave towards Woodley Lakes Golf Course. Lot will be on the right.

Street Parking (General Parking): Follow directions above and available parking will be located along both sides of Woodley AVE. (OBEY STREET SIGNS).

In-Person registration is available day-of at Woodley Park.

Live Performance by Andy Grammer!

EMMY winner, multi-platinum recording artist, and LA native, Andy Grammer (Fine by Me, Keep Your Head Up) will perform a selection of his hits including “These Tears,” a tribute to his mother who died of cancer.

Schedule of Events

  • 6:30am: Check-In / Day-of Registration opens.
  • 7:20am: Adults In Memory Ceremony participants meet at Stage.
  • 8:15am: Children & Teen In Memory Ceremony-meet at Kids Tent.
  • 8:45am: Opening Ceremonies & Andy Grammer Performance
  • 9:15am: 5K starts!
  • 10:15am: Awards Ceremony, Largest Teams & Fundraisers
  • 11:00am: Raffle draw by Associate Board
  • 7:30-Noon: Festival

We recommend arriving 1 hour before event start times.

Coffee, limited refreshments and bagels will be available prior to the In-Memory Ceremony and 5K. Medals, water and snacks will be available to participants after they cross the Finish Line.

  • February 6 - 28: Adults $35 and Children $25  
  • March 1 - 31: Adults $40 and Children $30  
  • April 1 - 28: Adults $45 and Children $35  
  • April 28 at Midnight: Online registration closes
  • Event Day April 30: Adults $50 and Children $40

About the Run

The mission of OUR HOUSE Grief Support Center is to provide grief support services, education, resources and hope to the Los Angeles community. Every dollar raised goes towards providing essential grief support services to children, teens and adults.

Please note that there will be bumps and curves along the 5K route and the festival area is on grass. Contact us if you have any questions regarding handicap accessibility!


WHO?   

Anyone can participate – young and old – runners, walkers, and the OUR HOUSE community are all welcome! Many of our participants join as teams. All walkers and runners will be timed this year by default.
 
WHY?  Honor the memory and celebrate the lives of those who have died. The Walk 'n' Run for Hope is a day to share grief, loss and love, and to help sustain the services of OUR HOUSE Grief Support Center.

While we love our furry friends, please do not bring your dogs as this is a pet-free event.

WEATHER POLICY?

The Walk 'n' Run for Hope will happen regardless of rain or shine, so no refunds will be given because of weather.
