Hello Friends and Family,

I still miss Luke everyday, but it doesn't hurt quite as much.  I hear his voice in my head sending me love, cheering me on, and sometimes mocking me a little.  :).  It is hard to believe that he isn't here and I don't know that I will ever be ok with that.  But, I am working on healing my heart, my brain and rebuilding my life.  It is the craziest journey that I have had to start and without Luke.  It is a good thing that he and I worked so much on my confidence otherwise this might seem impossible.  Arghh!!!!

Our House was the single most important part of my healing.  Every other week, eight of us met online with two moderators for a year.  It was a safe place that I could share my innermost thoughts without judgement.  No one understands what you are going through unless they have lost their spouse.  You haven't just lost your spouse, but you have lost the person that you were and the life you had before they passed. This group and the people in it saved me.  I feel hope now that I can make a happy life for myself.
