As someone who works in palliative care, I see families going through some of the toughest moments of their lives. As a corollary to that, I see how important grief support is for people who have lost someone close to them. Our House provides a vital resource for children and families who have lost a loved one. I have participated in their yearly camps, and I have seen how well they support kids not just in speakinig about their grief, but also in developing healthy coping skills and finding community with fellow children. They also provide fantastic programming for parents as they learn to support their children's grief and navigate their feelings.
