I WALK TO REMEMBER MY MOM, SALVACION LEONES SABALZA

Letter to family, friends & loved ones,

In the early morning on October 21, 2025, my life, as well as anyone who had the privilege of knowing my mom, Salvacion aka Sally, and her infectious laugh and beautiful smile, was forever changed after she took her last breath.  

In my sadness, I focused on the love she gave and the hope and celebration that her faith has reunited her with her Creator in heaven and the love of her life for over 41 years, my dad, who passed away in the summer of 2001.

Today, I celebrate that reunion and walk to honor her and the resiliency that she and my father taught us to have as immigrants in America.

Special thanks to Devereau Chumrau for inviting me to join her team Purple to honor her mom as I walk with my. heart focused on Turqoise, my mom's signature color.

I love you, Mom, always and forever.

Please join me by supporting me in prayers and any financial donation you may have to give.  There is no donation too small. I have yet to utilize this organization's services directly, but as I traverse grief myself, I have no doubt the impact they've had on the community and on those struggling with grief. They've already had an impact on me in support of such a worthy cause as this.
