I volunteered to rappel 11 stories down the side of the Hotel Blackhawk.

Yes. Intentionally. ?

I’m doing it as part of Over the Edge to raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Mississippi Valley, an organization that provides life-changing mentorship to kids right here in our community.

This isn’t just about the thrill.

It’s about showing up for children who are navigating challenges many of us never had to face. A consistent, positive mentor can completely change the trajectory of a young person’s life.

My goal is to raise $1,000 to help fund mentoring relationships that build confidence, stability, and opportunity for local youth.
