Butterflies, bees, dragonflies, beetles, spiders, freshwater mussels and other invertebrates sustain life as we know it. Yet many are declining due to habitat loss, pesticide use, climate change, and more. But there are steps that we can all take to help these vital animals and no action is too small. Please taking a stand for invertebrates today by making a donation to my fundraiser. Your support means the world to me, thank you!

Invertebrates matter to me because...From now until the end of June, I am fundraising for the Xerces Society. I am likely your "bug friend". The one who receives hundreds of photos every year asking for insect identification. (Please know being the "bug friend" is my highest honor and my favorite title). Every bug picture I receive brings me so much joy. It means I get to discover new species, and learn even more about common species. I have likely info dumped a bug fact or two to you at some point. It's because they are often so misunderstood, unloved, or forgotten. I hope my enthusiasm about our many legged friends has helped others know how amazing and NECESSARY insects are to earths ecosystems. If not for bugs, we could not be. Do you like food, thank a bug. Do you like going outside without being swarmed by "pest" insects, thank a bug. Do you like wearing makeup, thank a bug. They are soil aerators, dung cleaners, free pest control, food for humans and other animals, and so much more. I am fundraising for the Xerces Society because they, like me, understand the importance of our world, and every single insect that exists within it.
