I feel fortunate and blessed to have beaten Cancer. Although I don't like thinking about it, I am a thyroid cancer survivor.
Unfortunately, other people I know and love are not as lucky.
Most importantly, my spouse, the one true love of my life, is now at stage four Colon Cancer with no treatment options.
We all know someone who has been affected by this vicious disease. As my spouse, Dona, says: Cancer does not discriminate; Regardless of age, ethnicity, financial status - Cancer doesn't care.
I decided to join this walk for obvious reasons. We do not have a dog, but paws are part of our family, of the Feline kind.
The walk happens to be on the 19th of September. 19 is a significant number for us. It is our anniversary, which we celebrate on a monthly basis, not just once a year.
I am priviledged and honoured to start this fundraiser, and hope you will support the cause.
Whether you choose to join me for the walk or donate towards my goal, everything matters and is appreciated.
Thank you so much in advance for supporting me.
