This year, I'm slapping on my sneakers and braving the great outdoors for Paws in the Park, all in honor of my dearly departed permanent puppy, Ellsworth Fitzgerald Huntington III. (Who, ironically, disliked going for walks until he was about ten years old.) Ellsworth was a Cavalier with a personality as big as his fluffy ears and feathered legs and tail. He was a true original, a one-of-a-kind love bug I adopted from the SPCA in 2011 (shoutout to Patty R. for her matchmaking skills!).

Sadly, Ellsworth passed on the exact anniversary of the day he joined our family – talk about a dramatic exit. Oh, Woofy. I'm honoring Ellsworth's memory and celebrating his fun spirit at Paws in the Park this year! 

So, if you're anything like me and you've ever unabashedly reached into your dog's mouth to get the tissue out of his mouth, put pajamas on your dog, made him pose for 10,000 pictures, or just appreciated the sheer ridiculousness of your dog/cat/whatever other pet you have, please consider donating to my fundraising goal.
