It's hard to believe that the last time I was at Camp Fitch was a year ago at the last Plunge. The last time I went that long without heading north of the tracks was 13 years ago, before the first time I ever spent a week as a summer camper! Camp Fitch is truly the best camp in the world, and it means so much to me that I can help send kids to experience the magic that I grew up on. After 7 years as a camper and 5 on staff, I did not work last summer (due to the pandemic cancelling normal summer camp, but also due to graduating college and beginning a job search), and I can't say I haven't thought about how much I miss it. That's the beauty of this place - no matter how long or how short your stay is, you will always leave with incredible memories and friends that will stay with you for the rest of your life. It brings me so much joy that I can help bring this experience to someone new, or help someone else's stay last a little longer. In year one, I raised $1,000. In year two, I raised $690 - just enough for one child to spend a week at camp. This year, I'm aiming for the century mark again, but I'm optimistic I'll surpass that and hopefully I raise enough for two kids.
