Catyak Attack

January 1, 2021 - April 25, 2021

Taking A Dive So Others Can Thrive

For over 40 years, the Catyak was a constant on the shores of Lake Erie at Camp Fitch.  Less known for speed and turning ability, the catamaran can pretty much only steer in one direction: Jibe.  That's right friends, this bold and sturdy vessel oftentimes unintentionally transported campers to the far eastern shores of camp and occasionally into a cement pier.  If you look hard enough deep in the woods off the lake, you may just find the remains of these majestic shipwrecked sailboats.

  • Noah Sniderman Bobby, taught me how to sail (a Catyak of course) when I was 11 years old. In addition to being a lot of fun, his instructions helped me understand the concepts of fundamentals, strategy, and teamwork. Over the years I would work with Bobby on waterfront a February 2021 1,000.00$
