I am participating in this year’s Pet Palooza 2020 to raise money for Huamne Society of Charlotte. As many of you know last month when Stay At Home orders began rolling out across the country, we took a hard look at our operations here at HSC and conducted a risk analysis for continuing to operate in a limited capacity. After consulting with our team here, we quickly determined which programs were vital for the success and well-being of pets and their people within the greater Charlotte community. We implemented comprehensive safety measures and changes to our daily operation to protect our staff, volunteers, and patrons while continuing our life-saving work.
Everyday our dedicated team shows up and continues to be a source of help within our community. However, we cannot do it alone. We do not receive government funding for our operations and rely on our supporters to contribute monetarily. We have decided to host a virtual walk for PetPalooza this year to raise much-needed funds to weather this crisis.
To aide in this effort, my team, and myself the Hairball Wizards are asking for your help.
