Upon arrival at the Humane Society of Charlotte, eight year old Zsa Zsa was discovered to have a large mass on her neck, severe periodontal disease, and an ear infection. With help from a local veterinary partner, we were able to treat these conditions before Zsa Zsa left for her new home. We are happy to share that Zsa Zsa, now Lena, is adjusting well with her new family and is slowing coming out of her shell. According to her human mom, Lena is starting to show more of her personality, such as barking excitedly while waiting for food, learning to co-exist with her new cat sister, and laying in her bed while watching her humans work. Lena’s new family is so glad that they adopted her and mentioned, “she makes each day a bit better.”
