My Personal Fundraising Page
As a very serious little kid, I was sent into an existential crisis that stemmed from the seemingly innocent question of "what do you want to be when you grow up?" Nothing seemed good enough, important enough, purposeful enough, going-to-change-the-world enough, "me" enough.
Enter "Cool Careers for Girls with Animals" by Ceel Pasternak and Linda Thornburg. No, you probably don't remember this page-turner from 1999 but for super animal obsessed 8-year-old me searching for life's meaning, it offered up some pretty cool career possibilities that I could work toward… horse-stable owner, bird handler, marine-mammal curator, ostrich farmer…
Today, I'm living my childhood dream as the Director of Marketing at Kitsap Humane Society. I first got involved with KHS as a dog walker back in 2016, and ever since, I've been clamoring to be a part of their excellent work! Now, I have the honor and pleasure to tell the stories of the people and pets at our lifesaving campus.
Please consider supporting me and the animals by making a donation for our first in-person PetsWALK since 2019! Your gift, no matter the size, will help ensure that Kitsap Humane Society can continue to be there for sick, injured, and abandoned animals in need. Together we can make a difference in the lives of animals at Kitsap Humane Society. Thank you!
