Karma and I are walking in honor of our sweet rescue, Abby.  
She is an American Eskimo Dog that we adopted 14 years ago from a puppy mill.  
She came to us with a broken paw, skin and bones, hardly any fur, so neglected and abused.  But she has thrived in our care and until recently danced and twirled everywhere even though she is mostly blind, completely deaf with hardly any teeth.  Still the happiest little girl you could ever meet, unless her rambunctious cousin comes over.  She’s afraid of him.
Abby is nearing the end of her life now.  She has slowed down, can no longer get up her stairs to the couch or bed, eats very little and wants to be close to her people.  Karma knows she is not well and acts as her protector, just keeping watch over her.  So Karma and I will do our very best on the walk, even though neither of us is very young.  We support the Kitsap Humane Society every way we can, and if you can, please make a donation to this worthy cause.  Thank you.
