10 Years ago I was 22 and Pregnant. It was a very sad time in my life. I was under alot of stress, working at Citibank and feeling sick the entire pregnancy. According to all my medical records I was fine. A month before my due date I felt really ill. I was vomiting, my head was pounding and I just felt off. 

I called my Doctor's office and was told it was my morning sickness and they scheduled an appt to see me. That night I feel asleep on the couch once I felt slightly better. In the morning I was having contractions and appeared to be in labor. I went in an ambulance to the hospital and to make a long sad story short I was told that I had severe preeclampsia and that my blood pressure had sky rocketed so high it caused a stop in blood flow to the baby. She had passed away in the overnight hours.

If I had gone to the ER the day before they would have been able to deliver her safely but that is not what happened. I was given medication to save my life as I was also not well and then had to give birth to my still born daughter. I had never heard of Preeclampsia before I lost my daughter and something as simple as a home blood pressure machine could have made all the difference.
