Leading up to my 36th birthday, I'm asking you to support the Pujols Family Foundaiton for a very personal reason. I have a facebook fundraiser as well as this page for my the walk which i'll be doing on my birthday. Between the two I hope to raise over $3,600 for my 36th Birthday!
Jeff and I found out we were expecting our second baby boy in October and are so excited to meet him. We also were told there is a 99.9% chance our little boy has Down syndrome. A few hours after the initial wave of emotions swept over us, we both knew God had placed us on a path that started 7 years ago to prepare us for our new potential adventure. We know that these blood test etc are not 100% accurate, but we are prepared for whatever God has planned for us.
About 7 years ago I started working with the Pujols Family Foundaiton. Before that I had never really been around many people who were differently abled. To say it changed my life would be an understatement. In the last 7 years I have had the opportunity to get to know and be inspired some amazing individuals with Down syndrome and their families and learn what a valuable part of society and life they are.
I don't know 100% what is next, but I do know that because of the Pujols Family Foundaiton, we are probably some of the most emotionally prepared two parents could be. I know God has picked this little boy especially for our family and we can't wait to meet him!
