I'm walking for a cure

I am walking with Team Irene to celebrate the extraordinary life of my mom, Irene Burgess, a woman who filled my world with endless love and joy. She was the heart, soul, and spark of our family. For over five years, she fought pulmonary fibrosis with unstoppable grace, boundless optimism, and a radiant smile that never dimmed, showing us all what true strength and courage look like. I will bring that same fiery spirit to our team's eighth consecutive annual PFF Walk! With every stride, laugh, and cheerful step, we will honor her legacy, pumping up awareness, and raising vital funds to power the search for a cure. She taught us to live fully and love fiercely, and on October 17, we will walk tall, loud, and proud in her memory!

More than 250,000 Americans are living with pulmonary fibrosis (PF) alone, and funds raised by the PFF Walk help accelerate research, empower our community, and transform care so that everyone with PF and interstitial lung disease (ILD) can live a better life.
