We know you’re the type of person who’s always pulling for pets. But now, we want you to actually PULL for pets!
What: Emancipet's Pulling for Pets returns this year just in time for Haul-O-Ween! Presented by Tito's Handmade Vodka and Vodka for Dog People, this one-day event features teams of ghosts and goblins (and pet lovers!) competing to pull the legendary John's Water Ice truck over 20 feet in the fastest time. But speed isn't the only thing that counts in this tournament - awards will be given out for best costumes, top individual and team fundraisers, and a couple surprise categories!
Every $16 raised sponsors a pet in Emancipet’s mission to make veterinary care affordable and accessible for everyone.
No matter the outcome, people and their pets are the winners (plus some serious bragging rights that you pulled a fire truck)! Plus all attendees are invited to join us for free fun for the whole family! Get your faces (and masks!) painted, a caricature drawn of you dog, and meet adoptable pets from local rescue groups!
Cost: $25 for Adults, $20 for Students (free for spectators!)
When: Sunday, October 31, 2021. Registration begins at 10:30AM, with the Pull kicking off at 11AM

Benefits: Every dollar raised goes to support Emancipet's mission to make veterinary care affordable and accessible for everyone. Your life-changing support at this event goes directly to ensuring Philadelphia pet owners have access to low-cost vet care. You can carry the weight, even if just for one day, for a person who feels like vet care is out of reach because of financial barriers.
What to wear: Comfortable athletic wear and closed toe shoes with tread. We recommend bringing gardening or yardwork style gloves (although they aren't required). Participants will be emailed instructions and tips before event day.

Want to come cheer us on? This event is free to attend. Participants planning on pulling the truck are the only folks that need to register online in advance with a donation of $20-$25.
