I first attended Pine Tree as a young, ne'er do well 12 year old tennis geek from Saint Paul. At that age, I recognized how cool of a community the Twin Cities tennis scene has to offer. I enjoyed watching my coaches play, and I admired the balance between high intensity tennis and good natured fun that this event brings year after year. I can't believe that I'm playing in my 6th PTATC this year, as a ne'er do well 32 year old teaching pro. I can now truly appreciate what this event means on a larger, more important scale. The lives that are touched, the support that is given, the research, the relationships provided by Children's Hospitals is beyond compare. I am honored and humbled to receive your donation in any amount.
This year I am delighted to be playing with one of my favorite up and coming St Paul ne'er do wells, Helen Klass-Warch. Helen is a St Paul Central class of 2014 graduate, and currently plays tennis at Wesleyan University. I have been fortunate to have seen Helen blossom into a wonderful young lady and a tennis player requisite of carrying me through as many rounds as possible this summer. I'm so proud to know her and her family, and I'm so proud to have her as my partner.
