Why I play Pine Tree

All of us have been, or will be, affected by cancer at some time in our lives.  In my early 20s, I worked on the oncology unit at the University of Minnesota Hospital and was the primary nurse for a 16-year-old leukemia patient named Todd.  I remember his parents and the endless hours they spent at his bedside.  As a parent of teenagers myself, I can still only imagine what they went through.  Todd's story has a happy ending.  He is a college math professor and the father of two young children.  Thirty years later, we continue to exchange yearly holiday greetings.

I play Pine Tree every year in hopes that more and more pediatric cancer patients and their families will have the same happy ending.

Any donation you can make will be appreciated by so many people affected by cancer.
