Last week at the dog park, I met a great human being who happens to work at the Pet Alliance. She told me about all the work they do for our furry friends. I specifically asked her about dogs from the islands because my dog, Penny, started her life in St. Croix with rough circumstances. Aside from all the life changing work they do with dogs in Central Florida, the Pet Alliance helps many, many dogs from Puerto Rico, St. Croix and other islands. Through the Pet Alliance and their partners, Penny was moved from St. Croix to Central Florida where I was able to adopt her. So many dogs have had their situations completely turned around for the better because of this outstanding organization.
