Event Specifics

Do I need a dog to participate?
Dogs are not required to participate, but if you have a dog (or dogs!) who love days out, bring them! We welcome all animal enthusiasts! Paws in the Park benefits all the animals that the SPCA helps including birds, cats, dogs, farm animals, pocket pets, reptiles, and wildlife!

Does everyone on my team need to walk?
No, we understand that not everyone can or wants to walk the one or two miles. Team members may cheer you on along the route or at the finish line!

What happens if it rains?
Paws in the Park takes place rain or shine. However, in the case of severe weather, we will cancel. If this is the case, we will update this homepage on or before the morning of the event.

Can I still participate even if I don’t want to attend the Walk in person?
Yes! Attendance is not required. If you cannot attend, you have the option to register online as a Virtual Walker and use the tools in your Participant Center to fundraise. Registered Virtual Walkers will receive a commemorative T-shirt that can be picked up on Packet Pick-Up Day.
