Dear Friends and Family,

Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana is near and dear to my heart. I have been lucky enough to be on the staff for 15 years. Our mission at JA is to inspire young people to own their own economic success. We do this by sending volunteer mentors into the classroom to teach the students the basics about financial literacy, work and career readiness, and entrepreneurship as well as through our JA BizTown^®, JA Finance Park^®, and JA JobSpark experiential learning programs. Many of your kids have benefited from these programs in the classroom.

In order to provide our JA programs to the schools without cost, we host fundraisers throughout the year. One of our biggest fundraisers is our Play4JA staff bowling event. Our staff is rallying together and raising money for our organization. I am reaching out to you today to see if you might be able to help. My personal goal is to raise $750.  I would love it if you could help. Any amount large or small makes an impact.

I wanted to share a few facts about JA if you do not already know:

·         We serve 29 counties in Indiana and Michigan, reaching over 184,000 students every year.

·         We are ranked #1 from JA USA in market penetration and #2 in students served!

·         $180 supports 10 elementary students.

·         $900 supports 30 middle school students.

·         $1400 supports 100 students to experience a day at Lincoln Finance Park where we teach students about personal budgeting and making good financial decisions.

·         $1750 supports up to 140 students (5^th & 6^th graders) to attend JA BizTown where we teach students to be good citizens, workers, and consumers in their community and relate those roles to the free enterprise system.  

We truly believe that if students know about our three pillars (financial literacy, workforce readiness, and entrepreneurship) by the time they graduate high school, they will be able to make wise decisions going into their adult years.
