Why Play 4JA?

Junior Achievement of Oklahoma's largest fundraising event of the year is the annual JA Bowl-A-Thon! Every day, we work to connect students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in life. We show them that it's possible to invest in their future, to gain a better understanding of how the world works, and to pursue their dreams. And with your help, we can continue to make these possibilities a reality. With your help, JA can continue our mission of creating Boundless Possibilities."

Why do we need your help FUNraising 4JA? Because...

• Your fundraising dollars let us provide public schools with our volunteer driven curriculum, programs, and student events.
• Individuals, companies, grants, and FUNdraising events support JA programs and student events.
• Proceeds will benefit students throughout the region. FUNdraising 4JA efforts are critical!
• Your participation and your team recruitment often lead to newprogram volunteers for JA.
• JA provides a terrific team building experience while Playing 4JA!

Who can participate?

• JA welcomes companies, both small, medium, and large to participate.
• We encourage civic organizations and groups of friends to get involved and use this event as a “give back to the community” project.
• Like companies or departments/ branches within companies can challenge each other to create a competitive edge to Play 4JA!

How does it work?

• Large companies can choose a company coordinator to recruit Team Captains, who in turn will recruit teams of up to five participants.
• Smaller companies or groups can have a Team Captain(s) and recruit a team(s) of up to five participants.
• The JA Outer Space Bowl gives participants a user-friendly format to FUNdraise online.
• Select a team name, pick your session (#1-4:00-6:00pm or #2-6:30-8:30pm), register your team online, select a team and individual avatars and start FUNdraising 4JA.
• FUNdraisers can utilize the tools of this app to reach potential donors via emails, and Facebook and Twitter posts. .
• Several of our sponsorships include   team sponsorship(s). Companies have the option to support their employees through one of these opportunities

Where and when do we celebrate Team successes?

• Teams raising $500 or more will gather on Friday, April 26 at Andy B's for a bowling celebration party!
• Teams are treated to two hours of bowling with shoes, team photos, food, great door prizes, and lots of fun comradery. Plus a raffle!!
• Teams can name their teams, come dressed for the Outer Space theme if they want, or enter the pin decorating contest.                                        
• Whatever you do, do not miss this super way to support Junior Achievement’s mission. We cannot make a difference without your help. See you Friday, April 26. 2024!
