Hello Rebel Family. My name is Daniel Holmes, and it is an honor and a privilege to serve as
the 2026 Junior Class Nominee for Homecoming King.
As a student, I am a proud member of the Varsity Football Team, Varsity Wrestling Team, and
STAND Club. Outside of school, I am an active member of THRIVE Student Ministries at
Vestavia Hills Methodist Church, and volunteer with Appalachia Service Project and Unified
Sports Basketball League. I also work part-time for FH Concessions at Vestavia Hills Parks and
Rec. These activities and experiences have helped shape me as a leader and taught me the
value of serving others through teamwork and building strong, safe communities with healthy
activities and advocacy resources for all ages.
This year, I am excited to have the opportunity to raise money and learn about the importance of
the Prescott House, a Jefferson County child advocacy center where safety, hope, and healing
are available to children in need. I hope you will join me and the other homecoming king
nominees to break the VHHS Fall Charity Fundraising Record and help this important
organization. At The Prescott House, the BLUE DOOR MEANS MORE for the children of
Jefferson County. Go Rebels!
