I decided to take on a new adventure... my first 10k race! What better place to run a race than Disney World, right?! But what might make this race even more meaningful? Maybe if I could run for someone else who can't run. Someone who doesn't have the same health and strength that I have been blessed with! I did some searching and found Girl Power 2 Cure, a dedicated and vibrant nonprofit organization leading a movement to end Rett Syndrome, a severe neurological disorder that primarily affects girls. I work as a physical therapist, and have devoted my career to improving the lives of my patients. So on February 24th of 2018, I will run not only to challenge myself, but to raise awareness and advocate for all those lovely little ladies affected by Rett Syndrome and their families.
