Over the next seven months, I will be training for and will be running two half marathons as an advocate for Rett's Syndrom. It is my goal to not only raise money but most importantly promote awareness for Girl Power 2  Cure. GP2C is a grassroots non-profit organization that's mission is to spark a movement to make Rett's Syndrom the first curable childhood neurological disorder. About a year ago I was diagnosed with diabetes; I used running as a coping mechanism to overcome my battles in seeing my self-worth and in something as simple as believing in myself. I find it only fitting to be running for bright, passionate, and beautiful little girls. I will be running alongside an organization that motivates and empowers everyone to fight for these girls who have struggled to have their voices heard their whole lives.
