Our 12 year-old daughter Riley was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome just before her 3rd birthday. In past years, scientists and doctors thought a cure for Rett Syndrome was likely impossible. With advances in science and research, funded by people like you, that opinion has changed. From the discovery of the genetic mutation in 1999, to the reversal of the disease in the laboratory in 2007, to the clinical trials that are just underway, it is clear that research is moving at a groundbreaking pace.  In fact, Riley is just finishing up her participation in a clinical drug trial, helping pave the way for future trials.  Past, present, and future donors will play a central and direct role in reaching the goal of finding a cure.

This time four of us will be running.  Mitch will be pushing Riley, and Erin will run with Morgan who is running her first 10K!   The following day Mitch and Erin will also run the half marathon.  It will be a tiring but rewarding weekend as we get together with others affected by Rett Syndrome.  Please consider making a donation to support our race and help fund research.
