My Why

Jimmie Foster—known across the NFL landscape as Bengal Jim—isn’t just the king of tailgates; he’s a Cincinnati institution. A former NFL Fan of the Year and lifelong Bengals devotee, Jimmie has transformed the Bengal Jim & Friends “Before the Roar” Tailgate into far more than a pregame party—it’s a movement rooted in connection, culture, and community.

Set against the Cincinnati skyline just steps from Paycor Stadium, Bengal Jim and his crew lead a high-energy gathering that blends live broadcasts, charity initiatives, and unmatched hospitality into one unforgettable Sunday ritual. What truly sets him apart isn’t the scale of the event or the star-studded guest list—it’s the intention behind it all. Jimmie opens his lot to everyone, turning first-timers into family and fans into friends before the first whistle ever sounds.

Now recognized as the longest continuously running tailgate in Cincinnati, the event draws several thousand fans every home game and has raised nearly $1 million for local charities and foundations since 2017—a true tailgate for a cause.

Guided by his motto, “My City. My Team.”, Bengal Jim represents the very soul of Cincinnati and Who Dey Nation. Off the lot, Jimmie is also a partner at CAI Insurance Agency, bringing that same spirit of leadership and relationship-building to his professional life. He’s been married to his wife Tricia for 35 years and is the proud father of four sons—family always first, community always close.

Where Your Donation Goes

Family Nurturing Center is a nonprofit social service agency serving Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati. For 46 years, they have been dedicated to ending the cycle of child abuse by promoting individual well-being and healthy family relationships.

Each year, FNC reaches nearly 10,000 children and families across our region with critical prevention and healing services — all provided completely free of charge.

Trauma-Informed Counseling & Treatment

Specialized, evidence-based therapy for children and families impacted by child abuse and trauma. Our clinicians are trained in proven treatment models that help children process traumatic experiences, rebuild a sense of safety, and strengthen family relationships. Services include individual counseling, family engagement, and coordinated support designed to promote deep healing and long-term stability.

Holistic & Wellness Services

Wellness programs that build resilience, strengthen emotional regulation, and support healthy coping skills for children and caregivers. These services complement therapeutic treatment and also serve as prevention and resilience-building supports, helping families move forward with greater confidence and stability.

Parenting Services

Evidence-based Nurturing Parenting Programs, Trauma Responsive Parenting and additional supports that strengthen caregiver skills, improve communication, and promote healthy child development. These services help families build safer, more stable relationships and interrupt cycles of harm.

Parenting Time Visitation Services

Safe, structured parenting time services for families involved in the child welfare system. When children are in out-of-home care, maintaining consistent, healthy contact with parents and caregivers is critical to emotional stability and trauma reduction. These services provide a supervised, child-centered environment where families can preserve and strengthen bonds while working toward reunification and long-term stability.

Prevention & Community Education

School-based prevention programs, adult trainings, and community education initiatives that equip children and adults to recognize, prevent, and respond to abuse. Programs such as Kids on the Block and other evidence-based curricula strengthen communities and reduce risk before harm occurs.
