The pond/lake is the historic centerpiece of Millersville University’s picturesque 250-acre campus, and home to our two resident swans, Miller and S’ville. This location holds a special place in so many hearts. There are alumni who met their future spouse on the bridge, current students who do their best studying on the nearby benches, and faculty and staff who take walks around the pond over their lunch break.
Maintaining the pond/lake’s beautiful appearance and healthy habitat for the various wildlife that call it home is an important job. Currently, an algae bloom in the water requires maintenance, and that critical restoration requires all our help.
