Meet our Peer to Peer Co-Chairs: Kristen and Ericka Rice
Kristen and her mom, Ericka, share a longstanding connection to Neuhaus and a passion for helping children with dyslexia and learning differences thrive. The Rice family has supported Neuhaus through their foundation, and this summer, Kristen deepened her connection by volunteering with Neuhaus and seeing the organization's impact up close.
"Neuhaus not only supports children with dyslexia and learning differences but also empowers families and educators with the tools and knowledge they need to thrive."
Together, Kristen and Ericka are excited to serve as PTP Co-Chairs and continue supporting a mission that is meaningful to their family and makes a lasting difference in the community.
Meet our Peer to Peer Co-Chairs: Cici and Kara Sanders
Their connection to Neuhaus is not only deeply personal, but also truly full circle. Kara began her career working alongside Barbara Bush as she advocated for and raised funds for family literacy, and she later watched Neuhaus grow into the nationally recognized organization it is today. Years later, Kara turned to Neuhaus when her own daughter, Cici, was diagnosed with dyslexia, dysgraphia, and ADHD. Neuhaus-trained tutors and expert intervention helped change the trajectory of Cici's life.
Today, Cici is thriving in an academically rigorous high school and continues to give back to the organization that made such a difference for her. After spending some of her summer volunteering at Neuhaus, she and Kara are now lending their voices and story to help other children access the same support and opportunity.
