Taking Steps Toward Inclusion
®About the Puget Sound Buddy Walk
The 30th Annual Puget Sound Buddy Walk® benefiting the Down Syndrome Center of Puget Sound is a part of the national Buddy Walk® program, which brings together hundreds of local families, businesses, and organizations to promote inclusion, raise awareness, and celebrate individuals with Down syndrome—all while supporting DSC’s vital programs and services for all ages and family members.
Join us on Sunday, October 11th at Woodland Park Zoo and immerse yourself in the power and joy of building and belonging to a vibrant and inclusive community.
Buddy Walk® History
The Buddy Walk was developed by the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) in 1995 to celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Month in October and to promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome. Over 300,000 people walk from coast to coast and around the world each year.
