Why Cancer Sucks!,

I remember the day like it was yesterday, 21 years ago when my Mom called me and told me she was diagnosed with Non-Hopkins Lymphoma, my heart sank and I was on a mission to find out all possible and help her. Her battle lasted 7 years and the feeling of helplessness was greater than ever. Since then my father-in-law lost his battle with lung cancer, my aunt lost her battle to lymphoma. All created a big void in my and our families lives... But when my youngest Grandson at 3 years old was diagnosed with leukemia all those past memories came flooding back. I was determined to change my approach and focus on fundraising. I got involved with several local organizations that raise money for local families fighting cancer, I hope to think my actions have brought some peace and support to these families. This year I lost my father to melanoma another very difficult pill to swallow. Then diagnosis came to my wife and my grandson but, the good news is my Wife and my Grandson are both cancer survivors! Please find in your heart to help me raise money to give back to these needy families at a time when all they want is to have they’re loved get better...

Each one of us have been affected by cancer in one way or another.  Whether it is you who has battled or is battling cancer,  or that of a dear family member or close friend or even a charished pet.  We may not be able to stop the disease at this point but we can try to help those with this awful disease.  This is why I have decided to join the 7th Annual Purple Plunge.  This great charity is raising money to help those affected by cancer.  Please help me by making a donation, joining my team or coming out to the great event.
