My name is Jade Hunter. I am a HELLP Syndrome and Preeclampsia Survivor.
Our Story…..
On Monday November 5, 2018 I had turned 20 weeks pregnant! My husband and entire family were anxiously awaiting to meet our son, on March 24, 2019.
The next day, my husband, Terrance, took me to the hospital for what we thought was a severe case of food poisoning. Sadly, that day we learned that our sweet Juju Bean, Baby Boy Hunter, had no heartbeat. After being checked into the hospital and having several tests performed, we learned I had developed HELLP Syndrome and my blood pressure was rising dangerously.
For those unaware, HELLP syndrome is a life-threatening pregnancy complication usually considered to be a variant of preeclampsia. Preeclampsia is a rapidly progressive condition characterized by high blood pressure and usually the presence of protein in the urine.
On November 8, I delivered my sweet sleeping angel Jayden Terrance Hunter, aka Juju Bean. All of us - myself, my husband and parents - held and said our goodbyes to our little angel.
In memory of Jayden, aka Juju Bean, and all babies as well as moms who've lost their lives to Preeclampsia and it's related disorders, we raise money for this foundation!
