The mission at Beacon of Life is to create an environment that empowers women in crisis to achieve positive, long-term change. I've been involved with Beacon of Life since 2011. First as a general volunteer, then I joined the board as at-large member, became President of the Board, back to general board member, and now I help with events. A cause this worthy is what's called on my heart for the last 9 years to continue serving.

On May 9th, Beacon's annual Quiz Bowl would've taken place, but due to Covid-19, the event has been canceled.  My team for the Quiz Bowl (called 'A Team Has No Name') obviously would've dominated. We had sports experts, pop culture afficianados, music specialists, and some random knowledge maestros.  Next year is our year!

Instead of the Quiz Bowl, Beacon is holding a month-long virtual fundraiser and this is it, people!  Please consider even a $5 donation.  Everything helps.  Covid-19 has affected us all, but at Beacon of Life, they've made some big changes for the safety of their residents and staff resulting in a loss of cashflow into the organization.  It's a sacrifice they're willing to make because the health and safety of those inside the house is paramount, but if any of you can make a donation today, please do.  Thank you!
