This fall, experience the beauty of Lake Baldwin at your own pace at Harbor Park, located at Lake Baldwin in Orlando, FL. Participants will gather at Harbor Park and embark on a scenic 3.1-mile out-and-back course along the trail, perfect for runners, walkers, and those with strollers.This fun community event supports United Against Poverty’s initiatives, including Hopeful Harvest and Hope for the Holidays, which aim to support families during the holiday season with meals and toys.

What is the purpose of this race?

The purpose of this race is to raise funds and awareness for United Against Poverty's holiday initiatives, Hopeful Harvest and Hope for the Holidays. These programs play a crucial role in supporting Central Florida families.

Hopeful Harvest provides Thanksgiving meals to families in need, ensuring that they can celebrate the holiday with a bountiful and nutritious feast. This initiative ensures that families who might otherwise struggle to afford a holiday meal can enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with dignity.

Hope for the Holidays brings joy and relief to families facing economic challenges by providing a holiday breakfast and toys for children. This initiative ensures that children who might otherwise go without can experience the excitement and happiness of the holiday season. 

How does this event raise money?

Net funds from registrations, participant fundraising and sponsorships will all benefit the mission and initiatives of United Against Poverty. Here’s your chance to join friends and neighbors in making a meaningful impact in our community while taking part in an unforgettable 5k!

How does fundraising work?

As part of your registration, you will create a personal fundraising page with a custom URL. You can share this URL with family and friends to gather donations. The URL will be provided to you after completing the registration process. Your supporters can easily donate directly to your secure page using a credit or debit card, and even leave you a comment or words of encouragement!

How to register ?

1. To register click hereRegister 

2. Choose your registration type:

  • Adult Individual or Team (8 years or older) - $35
  • Junior Individual or Team (16-18 years old) - $20

3. Choose your fundraising goal.

4. Fill out contact and emergency contact details.

5. Agree to the waiver.

6. (Optional) Add more participants, or if not, skip to step 7.

7. Click "Next".

8. Add-ons checkout:

  • Inflatable quack ducky - $5
  • T-shirt - $20

9. Fill out payment information.

10. Click "Complete Registration".

What is included in my registration?

Each participant receives the following with their registration:

  • A snack bar and water at the finish line
  • A participant bag with promotional items from sponsors

Who receives a t-shirt and Inflatable Rubber Ducky's

T-shirts are available for an extra cost of $10 each and inflatable rubber ducky's at $5 each.

Is the race timed?

No, the Quack Attack on Poverty 5K is not a timed race. It is designed as a fun, family-friendly event where participants can enjoy the experience without the pressure of competing for time. This event supports United Against Poverty's nonprofit initiatives, including Hopeful Harvest and Hope for the Holidays. 

 

When and where is registration packet pick up?

Packet pick-up and ad-ons can be pick up  on race day, please plan to arrive before 7:00 am.

Are strollers and wheelchairs allowed?

Yes, strollers and wheelchairs are welcome. For everyone’s safety, we ask that you please plan to start near the back of the group and leave room for others to pass.

Are walkers welcome?

Of course! We are excited to have athletes of all skill levels participate. For everyone’s safety, we ask that you please plan to start at the back of the group and leave room for others to pass.

What about bad weather?

Races will be held rain or shine, however, if there is severe weather in the area the race start may be delayed or cancelled. As a reminder, registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

I registered but can no longer participate, can I receive a refund?

Unfortunately, we are unable to issue refunds or transfer registrations.
