We’re Raising + Riding for Phoenix Bikes — and we’d love your support!
This August, Quinn, Anne, and I are riding in Raise + Ride to support Phoenix Bikes — an incredible nonprofit that helps local youth thrive through bikes, hands-on learning, and community.
Phoenix isn’t just a bike shop — it’s a space where teens:
? Earn a bike and give a bike
? Learn mechanics, teamwork, and leadership
? Get outside and discover their power and purpose
It’s also one of the few early, voluntary workforce development programs out there — helping teens build real-world skills and confidence before they fall behind.
This cause means a lot to us. Last year, the kids pedaled 15 miles on their own bikes, and I hauled them the rest of the way on my cargo bike. This year? We’ve leveled up.
Meet Shelley, the Franken-Triple — a Trek T900 tandem hitched to a Burley Piccolo trail-a-bike. All three of us can pedal, and the twins are absolutely thrilled about it.
We’re aiming to raise $1,000 for Phoenix.
