Why We Ride for Phoenix Bikes

Squadra Coppi is riding for Phoenix Bikes and more importantly for the kids, youth programs, and for the love of cycling.

Why?

We love bikes, we love community, and we believe deeply in what Phoenix Bikes does for young people.

Phoenix Bikes is more than a bike shop. It is a place where youth learn real skills, build confidence, find mentors, earn bikes, fix bikes, ride bikes, and discover what they are capable of.

It is hands-on learning, youth development, transportation access, community connection, and a whole lot of bike magic under one roof.

The Squadra Coppi Ride will be on July 19 (Official Raisin’ Ride 2026 is happening August 1, 2026), starting from Vida Ciclista Bike Shop in Falls Church. We will cross Chain Bridge into Maryland, make our way to Point of Rocks, cross back over the Potomac River, and come back on the W&OD Trail.

We will have a Sag Wagon that will meet us at points along the trip and rest stops and provide support. You are welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks and have them in the support vehicle waiting for you when we stop.

If you are riding on the team, please commit to raising $150.
