This is Jenny! She loves walking, hiking, running, lap napping and hiding from scary noises like an ostrich - covering her head removes any threat. Jenny has enough terrier in her background to chase everything from birds and squirrels to foxes and deer, and enough bulldog to be too stubborn to stop chasing anything that looks fun. She has fan clubs at parks around Richmond where people love to watch her run to the fullest extent of her 50’ leash and come to a screeching halt to roll in something organic. She has clocked over 125 miles so far this year despite losing a leg in late 2025 to cancer. 

She can be sweet and crazy in the same minute and she follows me like a toddler. When I sit down at the end of the day, she climbs into my lap and plants a paw in the middle of my chest and gazes deeply into my soul. After she is satisfied that I won’t move, she curls into the space between the arm on the chair and my leg, and heaves a deep sigh of relaxation because I am home. Everyone should get to experience that unconditional love and joy.

Jenny’s whole family is excited to be supporting Richmond Animal League with the 2027 RALendar Contest in their quest to support the pets in their care!

The Top 12 fundraising pets will each receive a professional photo session with Brittany Rose Petography and be featured with a full-page monthly spread in the 2027 Richmond Animal League Calendar. Plus, every pet that raises $250 will be featured on a date in the calendar!
