What is the READATHON?

READATHON is our annual read-out-loud challenge to raise funds for Tompkins County Public Library (TCPL). Celebrating its thirteenth year, the READATHON enlists readers to raise funds for TCPL, culminating in a day-long celebration of literacy taking place in the library on Saturday, October 11th. The goal for this year’s READATHON 2025 is $25,000, which will be used to purchase materials for the library’s collection, such as books, movies, music, and more.
