I’m thrilled to be participating in READATHON 2025, a fundraiser supporting Tompkins County Public Library Foundation! Every donation—big or small—helps me reach my fundraising goal and directly impacts this important cause. 

This year's READATHON falls on National Coming Out Day. I will be reading from my friend Paul Monette's National Book Award winning Becoming a Man: Half a Life Story. Published in 1992, three years before his death caused by complications from AIDS, the memoir chronicles his at first hiding and ultimately celebrating being gay.
