On January 27th, 2021, our sweet angel Violet Serena Kessler was born sleeping. Just four short weeks from my due date, our world came crashing down. Violet died from an unseen umbilical cord blood clot and the hardest truth is that there were no signs and nothing we could have done to save her. Our hearts break daily for the daughter who never got a chance to live.

This walk is my way of parenting Violet earthside, alongside her siblings Charlie and Nora. Leading the planning efforts for this event has become a pivotal part of my healing journey.

Through this tragedy, organizations like the Star Legacy Foundation provided invaluable support and resources as we navigated our grief. We are incredibly grateful to be part of this community, and we are committed to raising awareness and funding so they can continue their vital work.
