“To our sweet baby girl, Hope Bracco Asprooth, forever planted in our hearts.” 

4.24.23 “I am so sorry, but I cannot find a heartbeat either.” ? The most devastating words floated into existence that day. Our daughter, Hope Bracco Asprooth, was born still on April 28th, 2023 at 25 weeks. One week later, I found myself at a “Yoga Class for Bereaved Moms” with Pulling Down the Moon sponsored by Star Legacy Foundation. I bravely stepped onto my mat, listened to the names of other angel babies gone too soon, and lit a candle for Hope. From that moment on, I have felt less alone in an impossible reality. Through check-in messages, coffee dates, organizing a walk, or advocating for change, these women have made my unconventional introduction to motherhood more manageable. I don’t want to be in this group and I hope you never have to be, but I’m so grateful to be part of SLF Chicago community. 

This year we will add someone else to the walk - our earthly rainbow baby, Hopey’s little brother, Archer Kenney Asprooth. We are so grateful!
